Here at Gilabbey we have a digital radiography suite and digital processor allowing the production of radiographs within seconds of them being taken.
We provide a 24-hour turn-round radiographic reporting service for other veterinary practices and this is a vital link with referring practices.
Our visiting Specialist in Diagnostic Imaging is Emma Tobin. She offers a veterinary ultrasound referral service. She will also report on radiographic films and offer advice on improving radiographic technique. Emma offers her expert advice on a variety of different case types. Ultrasound allows visualization of the internal parenchyma of organs, whereas radiographs allow visualization of the size or opacity of an organ. Ultrasound allows real time imaging, thus is particularly useful for cardiac imaging.We also have a visiting MRI Scanner once monthly (please see the MRI page for more information on this service).
